Associates
The PointZero Physical Theatre Associates are a professional ensemble of professionally skilled and creative movement-theatre artists devising, producing and performing original physical theatre/movement-theatre performance work both nationally and internationally. Associate company members have a diverse background in physical performance, Dance, Mime, Acting, Physical Theatre, Music and Improvisation.
Having trained at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (London), Samantha has performed extensively across Europe, performing and collaborating with distinguished artists on both large scale dance-theatre productions, and smaller, more intimate professional physical-theatre presentations. Samantha exudes a powerful, strong physicality, an eloquent, evocative, emotional presence and an openness to connect with others.
Jodie is co-artistic director of Performance Company ‘The Unity Creative’. Jodie studied at Toi Whakaari, New Zealand Drama School and La Mancha School of Image and Gesture, Chile. She has eleven years teaching/training in theatre, dance and television in New Zealand and performs multi-genred presentations including, theatre, dance and physical-theatre in NZ and internationally.
Annabelle trained at Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance, London; specializing in European Theatre Arts, developing a practical knowledge and physical vocabulary professionally inspired by practitioner’s Lecoq, Boal and Pina Bausch. Annabelle went on to study at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute New York further broadening her inter-disciplinary professional performing arts creative portfolio.
Matt is an actor and dancer who enjoys varied projects including physical theatre, plays, musical theatre and voice-over. Recent credits have been performances of new writing at the Bread and Roses theatre, a Punjabi feature film and devised contemporary dance pieces. Forthcoming work includes The Infinite Bridge, a multimedia symphony at the Britten Theatre; Rosemary Lane, a new musical for the London Theatre Workshop; also shooting a pilot for an alternative sitcom.
